Least to say the last few weeks have been some of the busiest we’ve seen.
Firstly we had the fantastic opportunity to interviw the amazing Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska. We featured them a while back as one of the new faces of horror and by lord were we right. Everywhere we look we see rave reviews for their latest offering, ‘American Mary’.
Their recent UK tour with the film had sold out and went down as well as the film. Taking the UK by storm, their adventures now continue with further world domination now that the film is released on DVD and BluRay.
Not the only siblings of horror we’ve spoken to this week. The superb directors of one of our favourite films, ‘Grave Encounters’. We caught up with the Vicious Brothers to discuss their success and future endeavours.
This week we’ve watched ‘The Blood on Satan’s Claws’ a superb film that’s as haunting in the same vein as ‘The Wicker Man’ and still as haunting now as all those years ago.
Tapping into our inner youth we have also enjoyed some of last years best horror animated films. ‘Hotel Transylvania’, ‘Frankenweenie’ and ‘Paranorman’ all of which were not only fantastic genre referential perfection but shall remain on our to watch list for years to come.
News this week that Glasgow Frightfest will be showing the eagerly awaited ‘Lord’s of Salem’ a film we’ve patiently been excited for for quite some time now.
Also at the festival will be ‘The ABC’s of Death’ and Eli Roth’s survival horror ‘Aftershock’ with the attendeance of the man himself.
February 23rd at the Custard Factory on Birmingham will hold host to a night of horror classics ‘The Return of the Living Dead’ and ‘Re-Animator’ with guests Don Calfa and artist Graham Humphries.
Some high profile films coming soon including Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Mama’ and Park-Chan Wooks English debut, ‘Stoker’.
